Professional Representation for Fisheries and Allied Workers
Uganda Fisheries and Allied Workers Union (UFAWU) is a registered trade union dedicated to protecting and promoting the rights, welfare, and interests of workers in Uganda’s fisheries and allied sectors. Through collective bargaining, worker representation, training, and advocacy, UFAWU works to improve working conditions, ensure fair labor practices, and empower workers to achieve better livelihoods and workplace protection.
Uganda Fisheries and Allied Workers Union (UFAWU) is committed to building a strong and united workforce by promoting solidarity, social justice, and professional development among its members. The union collaborates with employers, government institutions, and development partners to enhance workplace safety, strengthen labor relations, and support sustainable growth within the fisheries and allied industries.

Key Milestone – 2010
In 2010, UFAWU achieved a major milestone through the signing of a Collective Bargaining Agreement with the Uganda Fish Processors and Exporters Association (UFPEA), enhancing labor standards and improving employment conditions for workers in Uganda's fisheries sector."
