Who Can Join UFAWU?
The Uganda Fisheries and Allied Workers' Union (UFAWU) welcomes individuals and organizations that share its commitment to promoting professional growth, worker empowerment, sustainable development, and the advancement of Uganda's fisheries and allied sectors. Membership is open to eligible persons from different backgrounds, professions, and levels of experience.
UFAWU believes that a strong union is built on broad participation and inclusiveness. For this reason, membership is accessible to workers, professionals, youth, organizations, and other stakeholders whose activities relate to fisheries and allied industries. The membership requirements are designed to ensure that all members understand and support the values, objectives, and mission of the union while actively contributing to its programs and activities.
Interest in the Fisheries Sector
Applicants should be involved in or have an interest in fisheries, aquaculture, fish processing, transportation, marketing, research, training, or related industries.
Completion of Membership Application
Prospective members are required to complete and submit the official UFAWU membership application form with accurate and up-to-date information.
Agreement with Union Objectives
Applicants should support the mission, vision, values, and objectives of UFAWU and demonstrate a willingness to contribute positively to union activities.
Provision of Identification
Applicants may be required to provide valid identification documents for registration and verification purposes.
Payment of Membership Fees
Membership may require payment of registration or membership fees as determined by the union's policies and regulations.
Commitment to Participation
Members are encouraged to actively participate in meetings, training programs, events, and activities organized by the union.
Respect for Union Rules
Applicants should agree to comply with the constitution, policies, regulations, and code of conduct established by UFAWU.
Approval of Membership

The Membership Application Process
